How long does a new kitchen take to fit in London?

Accepted Answer

A like-for-like refit that keeps the existing layout is usually two to three weeks. A full refit — new worktops, appliances and decorating — takes four to six weeks. If you're taking out a wall or adding a rear extension, count 10–16 weeks including the structural work, drying time and sign-off. The start date and the finish date are in the quote, in writing, before anyone opens a wall, and we plan the trades around them.

How much does a new kitchen cost in London in 2026?

Accepted Answer

A typical London kitchen refit of 15–20 m² is around £22,000–£38,000, covering cabinetry, a stone or quartz worktop, plus new appliances and the fitting. A high-spec or made-to-measure kitchen with a stone island and premium appliances runs £49,000–£110,000+. A full kitchen-diner extension starts at about £85,000 once you include the build. The number turns on three things — the size, whether the layout moves, and the spec of the units, worktop and appliances — and each is a separate line on the quote. Can you build a kitchen extension or knock two rooms into one?

Accepted Answer

Yes — open-plan kitchens are something we do regularly. We handle the whole thing: structural calculations, a steel beam where a wall comes out, new glazing including steel-look doors, the roof, and the kitchen fit-out as well. Many rear London extensions sit within permitted development, so no planning application is needed — but a conservation area or a flat changes that, and we confirm which applies to your address on the survey and handle building control either way.

Will you work from my architect's or kitchen designer's drawings?

Yes. If you've already engaged an architect or a kitchen designer, we build straight from their drawings and coordinate with them through the job. If you haven't engaged one yet, we can work from your brief and a measured survey instead. Either way the build runs through one project manager, so you call one person, not a rota of trades.

Can I keep the appliances I already have?

Accepted Answer

Yes — as long as they suit the new layout and are sound enough to reconnect. We'll check them on the survey and tell you straight if something's near the end of its life rather than let it fail a month after fitting. Building made-to-measure cabinetry around appliances you're keeping is no problem — we measure to what stays.

Which kitchen brands and units do you fit?

Accepted Answer

Any of them. We fit supplier units — the trade-account ranges as well as independent and made-to-measure makers — and we install appliances from any manufacturer. We don't have a single brand we're tied to, so the recommendation you get is based on your budget and your kitchen, not on what we're obliged to sell.
