Good building is quiet: a fair price, a date that holds, and a finish you stop noticing because nothing about it is wrong.

Clear price

A written quote, every line costed, the number you sign off is the number you pay.

Fixed dates

A start and finish date in writing before anything comes off the wall.

One point of contact

The same manager from first visit to final handover.

What we work in

Surfaces, by hand.

Kitchens

01

Kitchens

Cabinetry, worktops and appliances, plus the wiring and plumbing behind them, fitted by the same team that does the building work.

Bathrooms

02

Bathrooms

Strip-out to final seal: first-fix plumbing and electrics, boarding, tanking, tiling and second fix, with one manager over the lot.

Flooring

03

Flooring

Engineered oak, herringbone, parquet, tile and stone, laid on a subfloor that has been levelled and checked first.

Carpentry

04

Carpentry

Wardrobes, alcove units, panelling and media walls, cut to the room's real dimensions rather than to a catalogue size.

Painting

05

Painting

Interior and exterior decorating, where the preparation rather than the paint is what most of the price is buying.

Renovations

06

Renovations

Whole-property refurbishments, lofts and extensions, sequenced so each trade follows the last in the order that holds the dates.

Restoration

07

Restoration

Tired surfaces brought back: French polishing, timber repair, plaster and cornice work, and stone made good.

Boilers

08

Boilers

Boiler installation, radiators, controls and full system flushes, with the gas work carried out via a Gas Safe registered partner.

How we work

Four promises we keep.

A price you can read

A written quote with labour and materials set out line by line, so you can see exactly what you are paying for and what each part of it costs. Options are priced on their own, which means choosing a different tile or a different worktop moves one number rather than reopening the whole job. If something genuinely unforeseen turns up behind a wall, you get the cost in writing and a decision to make before anybody carries on working.

Dates in writing

A start date and a finish date agreed before anything comes off the wall, with the trades sequenced in the order that actually hits them. Anything with a long lead time is ordered ahead of the first day on site, because a finished kitchen waiting six weeks on a worktop is a diary problem rather than a building one. If something does threaten the plan you hear it early, from us, while there is still time to move things around.

One manager, one number

The same person owns your job from the first visit to the final handover, and answers the phone the whole way through. They know what was agreed, what has changed since, and who is in the house tomorrow morning, so you are never briefing a stranger or repeating yourself to the next trade through the door. Everyone working in your home reports to them. None of them report to you.

A clean site, a clean finish

Floors and routes are sheeted before the first tool comes out, the room is sealed off from the rest of the house, and the waste goes at the end of each day rather than at the end of the job. You keep living in the rooms we are not in. At the end we snag it ourselves and put it right before we ask you to walk round, because the job is finished when it is right and clean, not when the van is loaded.

Before, and after

The same room, before we started and on handover.

After — the finished room on handoverAfterBefore — the same room at the startBefore

Registered, insured, accountable

Covered, and on the record.
